Time to Upscale
That First Restaurant
That first restaurant was a great success as many people came from all over the city to sample the recipes that were handed down to the brothers from their Uncle Jim, who had a restaurant of the same name in Fort Wayne Indiana, and their Grandma D’Angelo.
In the ensuing years the brothers opened two more successful Casa D’Angelos restaurants. One in Macedonia in 1994 and one in Mentor in 1997.
The North Royalton restaurant was sold in 1996 while the Mentor restaurant was sold in 2008. In 2004 the family bought a restaurant on route 91 in Twinsburg that was formerly an Italian restaurant. They had an idea to open a restaurant that was similar to Casa’s but a little more upscale. With Paul’s wife Donna doing all of the decorating and with the expertise of Jim and Terry Oleksiw, a long time D’Angelo employee doing the actual remodeling of the interior, D’Angelos ristorante was born in December 2004.
Over the years we have enjoyed serving the thousands of customers that have come into all of our restaurants and we truly do try to make you feel like family when you visit us. We also have banquet rooms available for private parties at D’Angelos and have catered many events in our restaurant. Please make a point in the near future to come visit us at D’Angelos. We guarantee you will not be disappointed.
The D’Angelo family
Since then we have continually upgraded and changed our menu according to our customers requests and tastes but have maintained some of our favorites from the other restaurants including the white pasta, the famous house salad and the Chicken Palmero. Paul and Donna work the front of the house at D’Angelos while Sam Jr. does the ordering in the kitchen and cooks. Paul Jr. who was 4 month old when the first restaurant opened, is now one of the kitchen managers at D’Angelos so it truly still is a family affair. Jim oversees the operations at the Macedonia location.
